Canopy
A canopy garage door can only be used for manual usage. This type of garage doors have vertical tracks as opposed to the aforementioned horizontal tracks. These tracks rest upon the frame legs while along the frame head is a torsion spring. This is all attached to the actual garage door by cables. These cables will end up on cones or sometimes drums.
Materials
There are four main types of materials for these types of doors. Steel is the most commonly used among all of these. GRP is most often used by people that live near the ocean. PVC needs very little upkeep and are very durable. Timber is by far the most aesthetically pleasing door that they provide.
